The renewal process is similar to the application process. Authorisations granted to technological platforms for online gaming and/or sports betting (B2B) are issued for two years and renewable for the same period thereafter. The renewal of the authorizations must be requested two (02) months before the expiration date of the authorization subject to renewal. Authorisations granted to gaming programs, progressive systems and other main components have an indeterminate term of validity. ## Application timeframe and phases The following authorizations and registrations are deemed automatic approval procedures: Authorization for Certification Laboratories. Permit for the operations of remote sports betting rooms. ## Registration of Sports Betting Terminals Registration as a linked service provider. The following procedures require prior evaluation from MINCETUR: Authorization of the operation of Technology Platforms for remote gaming and remote sports betting. Authorization and registration (approval) of Technology Platforms for remote gaming and/or remote sports betting. Authorization and registration (approval) game software. Authorization and registration (approval) of progressive systems. Authorization and registration (approval) of game modes. Authorization and registration (approval) of live casino game modes. Authorization and registration (homologation) of sports betting terminal models. Operators may use domains with the extensions ".bet.pe", ".bet", ".com", ".pe" or ".com.pe" and are able to accept the registration of Peruvian citizens, foreign citizens residing in Peru as well as foreigners not residing in Peru. No geo fencing is required by the regulation. The Operators shall establish the necessary procedures and mechanisms to ensure that all connections made by the players to non-authorized platforms are redirected to the platform (domain with the extension) that has been authorized by MINCETUR, in cases where both technological platforms belong to the same owner. ## Mechanics of the licence process Open-styled process. No limit on the number of licences. ## Bad Actor / Cooling off periods There are no bad actor provision but instead the transitory procedure to convert existing unregulated operators to licensees ## Applicant considerations Banking must be carried out within a licensed financial institution in Peru. AML regulation requires appointmet of a Compliance Officer/MLRO. Application fees per vertical (remote sportsbetting/remote games) is 273.10 PEN.
